It is our intention to respect privacy of children and their parents and carers, while ensuring that they access high quality early years education in our setting. We aim to ensure that all parents and carers can share their information in the confidence that it will only be used to enhance the welfare of their children. There are record keeping systems in place that meet legal requirements; means of storing and sharing that infomation takes place within the framework of the Data Protection Act and the Human Rights Act.

Safeguarding

More Grace Day Nursery & Out of School Club will work with children, parents and the community to ensure the rights and safety of children and to give them the very best start in life. Our Safeguarding policy is based on the Essex Local Safeguarding Board Policy.

Equality of Opportunity

We will ensure that our service if fully inclusive in meeting the needs of all children, particulary those that arise from their ethnice heritage, social and econoic background, gender, ability or disability. Our setting is committed to anti-discriminatory practice to promote equality of opportunity and valuing diversity for all children and families. We aim to:-

  • Provide a secure and accessible environment in which all our children can flourish and in which all contributions are valued.

  • Include and value the contribution of all families to our understanding of equality and diversity.

  • Provide positive non-stereotyping information about gender roles, diverse ethnic and cultural groups and disabled people.

  • Make inclusion a thread that runs through all the activities of More Grace Day Nursery.

Parental Involvement

At More Grace we recognise that parents need to feel confident and comfortable with the childcare that they choose. To ensure this we operate an 'open door' policy, so that parents can discuss any aspect of their child's care or development at any time with a staff member or a manager.

Your child will have a key person who will act as a special person for your child and will work with you to plan care and provide feedback about your child's activities at nursery.

Parents will have access to an app called EYLOG were staff will share photos and observations of what the children have achieved for parents to view, parents are also able to post their own photos and comments of what children have been doing at home.
